What you get in power, you pay for in pounds (so to speak). Which is true with any drill. This has great power – I drove 15 pounds of 3″ deck screws into a deck, and it rocked. Trigger’s a little touchy, but no complaints after learning curve. I’m just a home owner, not a pro, so my hand would have hurt no matter what, but this felt like perhaps too much for me in weight and power. A little. Still happy. Way better deal that a battery drill/driver that has its life limited by the duration of its battery.
Bought this for use at home. Perfect for small to medium projects and don’t have to worry about dead batteries.
The first time I tried to use this drill in drill mode, as soon as the bit hit some resistance, it popped from drill to driver mode and the clutch engaged. I could not keep it in drill mode against any resistance, such as drilling in hardwood.
It is going to the local B&D service shop for replacement tomorrow.
