The Bosch ROS20VSK 5-Inch Variable Speed Palm-Grip Random Orbit Sander Kit comes with everything you need to start sanding right out of the box. The integral pad damening system prevents swirl marks in the wood. The twist off dust canister is see through so you can tell right away when the canister is full. The microfiber system keeps particles down as small as 1/2-micron in diameter. The microcellular backing pad further enhances the finish quality of the wood. I don’t use this sander on dally bases, but when I do it really works great. I had it for more than a Year now and it has performed up to its name… BOSCH.
I have had them before and it is a good product. BUT, Ordered a new Bosch in a box with shiny new everything. I received my package which was obviously opened. Got inside and it was USED. Sandpaper inclued was on the machine and was simply used. Dust throughout and nothing wrapped. Warranty card missing. Called the company and told them what happened. They told me they bought them new and were surprised. Please let them know if I have any problems. Couldn’t answer why used. If I would have used the return I would have to pay return shipping. You decide!
I bought this sander for my husband for Christmas. He has just about given up on Craftsman tools. They are always breaking down and if under warranty they keep the tool for days.
He is a furniture finisher and uses a sander nearly daily. He is very very pleased with this one. Loves the dust collector has nice balance and easy to handle. Good speed. You won’t be disappointed with this purchase.
I used this tool to replace the model 1295 which I wore out, and I am extremely disappointed with it. The dust collection is vastly improved but it is clumsier to hold and more importantly, lacks the power of its predecessor. It is possible to actually make the disc stop rotating by bearing down on it, stock removal is much slower and the sander has an annoying tendency to grab the wood and jerk sideways to the line of travel. This problem is less noticeable with the higher grits. Still, I bought this model because I was very satisfied with the 1295, and now I’m stuck with something I hate.
I had worked with an older model of this sander and the new one is just as effective. I would recommend this sander to anyone who wants a quality tool for a competitive price.
