The Makita 9557PBX1 is a 4-1/2-Inch Angle Grinder with Aluminum Case, Diamond Blade and Grinding Wheels. The Makita Grinder features small circumference barrel grip (only 2.5 inch) for added comfort. Labyrinth construction seals and protects the motor and bearings from dust and debris by creating a complex set of channels. The protective zig-zig varnish seals the 9557PBX1 motor from contaminants by forming a barrier under rotation. The Makita Angle Grinder Kit has all ball bearing design and metal gear housing for durability. Thicker coil wires are wound more closely to reduce heat and energy loss. The Makita 9557PBX1 has rotatable gear housing rotates 90° for cutting applications.
